So your site will be down then for a while?

I would say no, if it is down only for a short time. But you risk it loosing rank if it is down for longer periods.

Your pr will not be affected because it would only be down for a short while.

Why would you let your site go down? If I linked to a site that died for 7 days I would remove the link! If enough people realize that your site is down for that period of time they will remove your link and your PageRank would be affected.

If you have no one paying for links to your site, you should be ok for the few days you would be down. All you would lose is potential traffic/visitors. However, as the above poster said, if someone is paying for links on your site or has a link agreement with you, they wont be too happy to see a dead site and you risk losing them linking to you.

You might lose your domain name if you let it go down. They are only 10 bucks, surely you have that??

Its very hard to predict what will happen. You can certainly lose a good part of your rankings but I have also seen pages ranking for a long time even though they were moved (404 error). I think this depends on site authority as well as few other reasons. Ideally you don't want to expire your domain.

    No it won't.
