Will My Adwords Campains Continue To Run With Redirected Affiliate Links?

I have several campaigns running in Adwords, some of which have been running for several months, some for two years. When Google went on the warpath a while back against affiliate sites, I had only one campaign that was affected. It was a diet/weight loss type site that directed to Clickbank offers and it had a lot of uncloaked affiliate links in it.

All the rest of my campaigns have continued to run with no problems. All of these sites are 15-20 pages of original content. The landing page for my ads are a review-style and have affiliate links that are cloaked with domain redirects. With everything I've read, I'm surprised my campaigns are still running and I'm afraid to add any new campaigns or even make adjustments (submit new ads, etc.) to my existing campaigns for fear that I'll push my luck. I'm afraid I'll trigger a manual review and I'm unsure whether that would be a bad thing or not. I really don't understand what Adword likes/dislikes when it comes to landing pages with affiliate offers.

It's been several months now and all of my campaigns are still running with good quality scores. I've started building a new blog to try to generate some free traffic so that I won't be depending on Adwords so heavily, but my Adwords campaigns are generating a nice little supplement to my income with little or no work, so I'd like to keep expanding on it, but, as I said, I'm afraid to do so. Any suggestions or input would be appreciated.

    Thanks

It's make or break my friend. I'm in the exact same situation as you and I can assure you that your worries are right (in my case). Few days ago I did some extremely minor tweaking to one of my campaigns which has been running for over 6 months. Last morning when I woke up my entire account was frozen. Everything remains intact but no ads were showing. I sent them an email to ask them why and they told me my account is 'under review', which is just a random process that will take about 2 days before my ads would start showing again.

I was so close to launching a huge campaign when that happened. Now I don't know if I should make any big moves with anything related to affiliate advertising.

From the sounds of it, you are doing things right, except for the CB diet product one. So keep on doing it that way. You could also direct link straight to the offer.

    Hello,

As it is an important source of the income you are generating from your offer - I wouldnt recommend trying anything with it.

Remember Google is weary about affiliate sites or traffic tube sites.

    All the best.

Google would rather you direct link than send your traffic to a landing page first. They call it a "bridge page" actually. Soon all landing pages on adwords will be slapped. Either have your vendor create a private label for you or direct link to the hp of the vendor your promoting.
