Will multi lingual articles assist with seo?

    Hi,

I've seen an auto translate module for Drupal.

If I use it to generate auto translated pages in a few languages, then I'll have different pages about the same subject, but in different languages. The translations won't be perfect though.

Will these multiple pages on the same topic assist with SEO? I came across this idea as I've had a lot of Scandinavians and Russians visiting my site from their native search engines, even though my site is in English.

    Kind Regards,

    fcmisc.

they would be considered duplicate content, right? I doubt if that would help much with SEO.

If you ae translating the same content that is already their in your website, then this will be considered duplicates.
Best strategy is to create different language landing pages on your site and give option on each page with googles own translation facility for better results

But how will the SE's know it's duplicate? The text will be different as it'll be a different language? or do SE's have internal language translators to confirm this?
