Never say never . . . . . Microsoft are there to make profits, and if FB can help them do that, they'll bid.

This is just a rumour that microsoft is going ti buy facebook as face book is leading company now a dayz then how it is possible that this will happen ? Facbook is trying to be merged in big companies list like microsoft, infosys etc so dont be just confused regarding this rumour. This will not happen.

I'd be happy to see Microsoft accumulate a website like that!

I think there is no need for Facebook to seal it to Microsoft and Microsoft going to launch new social networking site like Facebook.

Microsoft can do this as it has the tendency to help falling giants which is evident from the Nokia-Windows tie-up! However I guess it is too early to call anything maybe if Facebook still stays a bit stable for a large time period it can be considered. The thing with social networks is that for each one that goes out another one enters the big game. hi5>orkut>myspace they all have seen their Glory!

Wow you guys are seriously retarded...

    A) This thread started 5 years ago.
    B) Facebook is now on the stock market... meaning anyone can buy shares.
    C) So you can buy a small piece of FB tomorrow if you really wanted to.
    D) The shares are worth 50% of the price that they were released at... they were released at about $36 & are now valued at about $18.

So unless the shares plummet & the major stock holders want to sell their large portion of shares, Microsoft will never own FB. Another example is Dustin Moskovitz a former founder of Facebook - owns about 126 million shares of Facebook stock.

Spiky are you serious? Technically he's already sold it, it's been put on the stock market & failed miserably. There's 692 million shares available/on the market & there's like 1.2 Billion more that could hit the market, Mark owns 504 million & Dustin Moskovitz owns 126 million. The shares plummeted lately & mark had to campaign to gain a little ground. But if mark sells his stocks or begins to - it will cause panic on the stocks & he has also stated that he will be holding onto the stock that he possesses. I really can't be fucked going on because you guys are ignorant & too stupid to even know...
