Micro blogging and blogging are almost identical micro only being much shorter messages. I would assume that they would have close to the same effect though blogging having more content would more than likely hold more weight than micro. Really though you may want to focus on other things rather than page rank since it is having less and less weight given the fact that so many people are working daily on manipualting their PR.
In the beginning Micro blogging services were started for sharing very brief information on the internet to send and read other bloggers’ updates by the use of very brief text based posts. But as the time passed the micro bloggers can add video, audios to their posts. Micro blogging is about posting and distribution of small updates rather than spending hours on posting a blog post. Micro blogging saves time against blogging where you have to spend hours for writing meaningful posts. By doing this also your PR might increase. But nobody can define a exact way to increase PR. That is the fact.
i think the normal blogging have more advantages since crawler have lots of content to index than micro-blogging.. and more informative for reader..
