Isn't it a common misconception that link from banned site will affect your site search results. I mean how can Google penalise you when someone else outside of your control links to you?
Thatz how it is honey, so better not to have any links from the sites which are penalized by google. Yes we do not have any control if someone else links us, you can just mail google by explaining the situation I better be away from such sites and just concentrate on my link building with authority sites.
Are you sure? So say if there are thousands or tens of thousands of such links to banned sites, you will be very very busy having to search and find every one of such links and then email google. And Google will also be very very busy going thru' thousands of links in tonnes of such emails
It might not affect it negatively, but it certainly won't have any postive effect as links from that site won't carry any weight, so there's no point in looking for them
This question was raised when i attended a Google webmaster event. Matt was replying on this if i could recollect it right. He was saying there was nothing to worry on these issues as google will take care of those issues. He was insisting to follow good practices in SEO. Let me try to find out if there is any video or link provided online.
I would suggest that it's about your overall link quality, not one link. If you've got 10,000 inbound links and one of them is from a banned site, it won't make any difference at all. If you've got 10 links in total and 8 of them are from banned sites then I'd be very surprised if you were listed at all...
Links from banned site will not effect your site. You cannot control banned website link to your site. If you link back to banned site, you will get effected.
