Hi all, i want to know if i change my new hosted domain to another hosting will take effect for search engine optimization. Thanks.
Can do it mostly depends on three things Your new servers speed how easy the transition is (EG how much time you go offline) How much uptime your new host provides (there may well be other factors - hopefully someone will tell their experience if so) I will give you an example of an incident that happened to me. I have a website that is number 1 on Google for many search terms and we got the domain free from our broadband provider. We dcided to move to Virgin for broadband and so I had to move registrar and host the site myself instead of through the broadband provider. It took six days for the domain to move and so I was unable to host it and it went offline for six days. All the page 1 number ranks we're lost and it took me 2 weeks to restore them with a little SEO tinkering once I was able to host the domain myself. I was not happy this happened as the site had ranked number 1 for many search terms for over 4 years. But I fixed it so not to worry. Uptime will be the thing to watch out for mainly.
Most of the good hosting providers don't have any issues with uptime. So there is nothing to worry about your websites ranks or positions. But make sure that the databases and all are transferring correctly. If you loose some data it may affect you later.
True but the OP never mentioned if he is going witha host with 99.98 to 99.99 or above uptime Also there is the server speed issue, for example would you host a site with the likes of GoDaddy? I am a GoDaddy reseller and I know I wouldn't.
It CAN affect it if the location of your new hosting is different from your old hosting. For example, if you was hosted in the United States and then moved to hosting which was in the United Kingdom, then your rankings may be slightly better in the United Kingdom. Google do use this in their algorithm.
