Will it give any problem?

Hi Experts,

If I have 20 domains but I want to gain ranking for only one. Is it ethical to redirect all that 19 domains to that one domain for which I want rankings?

Will it give any harm in terms of SE rankings?

 

redirecting to all other domains to one domain serps wont give you ranking, to get good ranking just get Back links from high page rank websites..the more back links the more SERPS will rank you better

Instead of redirecting, the better option is to put a link for that site in the home page of all other 19 sites. This will help in increasing back links for that site. In addition you will also have to generate more quality, theme related backlinks for your site to improve ranking in search results.

I agree with newwebseo, this is Good Option. But 301 Redirection will also not create any problem to you but you will not get anything out of it although.

 

Yeah! that's totally 301 redirection applied to all that domains. I hope it's an ethical way and gives no problem with search engine rankings.

 

301 redirection much better option for me then one page site

. If you have back links to those 19 sites, those back links also going to pointing to your final domain with time.

 

Redirecting from all other domains into one domain is totally not a good idea. I might considered a manipulation, even all of the domains are related it is still not a good idea. 301 redirection is more one transferring an old domain into new one which soon the old one might be dropped. Backlinks from 19 which are maintained will somewhat help.

 

all that 19 domains are old domains and have good rankings, but the idea is all the traffic will come now to only one domain so that we can concentrate on one domain instead of 20 domains having the same content and link pattern.

 

I think you will shoot yourself in the foot if you redirect all of them. I would maybe do 2 or 3 that had content that relates to the site you are trying to focus on. Then take the others and add links.

If the sites in question don't relate before hand, I think Google will see that as they have with others.

Did you just buy all of these? Google sees ownership change as well and will update PR, etc accordingly.

by redirecting you may increase your traffic but cant PR, to increase PR/search ranking you have to make quality backlinks

 

i recommand to keep them online and just add a link to your main website.
