After the first test against srilanka, India had made several changes in team but no use when we saw their bowling performance. So ,will India remain 1st rank in test crciket.

No, India will not be able to remain 1st rank. Sri Lankan batsmen always score big when playing india on home turf. Even Murli and Malinga get the home advantage. So not easy to win the series.

No. It is very difficult to retain No.1 position. Srilankans scored 600+ runs in 2nd math also.

Actually India will find tough to retain their no 1 ranking as india have lost first test and they have to win both remaining test matches to maintain their no 1 ranking and seeing 2nd test i think it will be a draw and sri lanka have their home advantage from which they are benefiting.

I guess... a draw in the second test match was good enough for India to retain its number one position in Test. If India had lost this match as well... then Sri Lanka would have surely made it to number one!

Even if India lose the third and final test match, their points tally will get reduced to 123 and Sri Lanka will have points rising to 122. Hence, India will still manage to retain their number one position... with one point margin! :)

Nobody can remain 1st forever... but India has surely protected its 1st rank till they play their next test series. A loss in the third and final test against Sri Lanka will not dislodge India from its leadership position... at least now! :)
