Will I Own Expiring Domains at Name.com if I buy them?

Hi, I am thinking of purchasing expiring domains at name.com but I wonder whether I eventually own these domains. What if the original owner would reactivate it or renew the expire domains that I already paid for?

Anyone here with experience with name.com?

You should back order the domain

 

after the domain reaches its expiration there is a period of time that the original owner can still claim it. Check with your registrar to see if they will give your money back if you back order it and it gets claimed by the original owner - I doubt they would refund you though
