    Hello,

    So let's say I got a virus into my PC. Will I succeed in losing (erasing) it if I reinstall Windows?

    Why not install anti-virus and try and remove the virus before doing something drastic like re-installing windows?

    Yes it should get rid of it, as long as you format the harddrive.

    if you keep your My Documents etc there is a chance traces of the virus will remain.

    Before I re-install the OS there's a message window poppin' out, telling me that all my files will be erased and asking me if it's OK or Cancel.

    So I guess all the files are erased and so is the virus, right?

    Yeah.. you'll loose it if you format and re-install the windows.. and use a good virus this time.. :p And Update it regularly.. ;)

    i am also the serious victum of virus.
    i have installed my operating system many time but invain.
    virus is still disturbing me.
    it also depends on the virus that how much harmful it is.
    i have panda antivirus but its not working properly.
    i pray we ll recover out of this soon.
