Will I lose my rankings?

I started a blog about two months ago and I've already started ranking pretty high for some good keywords in Google. However, I'm in the process of overhauling my theme/layout/design, and the articles will probably end up being moved to a different sub url. For example, instead of seo/top-rank.com it might be seo/keywords/top-rank.com

Will this cause me to be dropped from my rankings? Will the search engines think that the article is new, and therefore duplicate content? I know scrapers have already started grabbing my content, so I would hate for Google to think that they own the article.

Can someone set the facts straight? Thanks a lot.

    1. When changing URLs if you 301 redirect the old URL to the new you won't lose any SERPs or Pagerank, however it takes a minor amount of time for it all to transfer over to the new URL. This is a must if your changing your URL structure.

    2. Theme\Design\Layout changes can sometimes have an effect on your rankings. Using a GoogleBot Spoofer to view your site with both setups can help see if any differences occur. Sometimes the change can be beneficial if a better internal link structure exists with the theme\design\layout.
