Will I lose my domain's longevity if I switch registrars?

I want to switch registrars, but I don't want the search engines to think this is a brand new domain name. After the switch, will the search engines still know that this domain has been registered for 2+ years?

As long as it is registered, it should be fine.

Transferring domain names doesn't reset the registration date. You have to extend the registration for at least a year.

Nope. Registrar change isn't drop. so you wont have an issue with the age of the domain.
