Will I hit my budget?

I took Zac Johnson's advice and started up some PPC campaigns with Neverblue. Anyways, I got absolutely no love from the search network, saying 0.06 cents is not enough to get me listed. However, will my bid of 0.06 cents get me all over the content network, hopefully to get 500 or so clicks per day?

I'm using the Search Creatives from Neverblue, so hopefully I get some results.

Depending on your market, 0.06 may not get you any love on the content network either. Do a search for one of your keywords. If you show up on the first page, your bid is just about right. If you are on pages 2-???, try upping your bid price slowly.

It all depends on many factors:

    Account History
Have you been a consistent spender on Adwords?
    Good account CTR%/History?

    Your account structure
How tightly grouped and themed are your adgroups?
    Keyword selection criteria?

    Landing page
Well optimized off page and on-page?
    Good content with great backlinks?
    Loading time?

    Number of Advertisers
Go check out the competition for your keyword - dating is an extremely competitive niche, and with good reason - one can make absolute BANK off it, when done right. (hint - try International markets)

Another mistake is your bidding strategy. Starting low, and adjusting high should NOT be the way to go. Start high (higher than your break even point, since Adwords hardly charge you for your max bid most of the time), then adjust low as you get a good CTR% due to your 'forced' high position.

$0.06, IMO, will never get you 500 clicks/day off content. In fact you'd be lucky to get anywhere near 50. Of course, YMMV.

.06 is not nearly enough for any niche really unless its completely untouched and even then if your account is new is not enough. Start high and see how low you can go after awhile without getting bumped out of position...

While I agree with you in principal, I might actually choose the opposite route. Start low (obviously higher than he is now), and move up until you find a comfortable position. Really two opposite ways to the same end, I just think this way offers less risk and equal reward.

Have you done the math on this? You do realize what your daily budget would have to be to achieve 500 clicks, even if you could get $0.06? Which by the way is not ver likely. I just want to make sure that you are not going to go into this blindly and at the end of day 7 you are $700 in the whole and wondering what went wrong.

Seriously, be careful with AdWords. She is a tempting mistress but she will give you an STD if you aren't careful. :)

0.06 per click is probably not going to get you much traffic in any niche with some value.

If your bidding on junk traffic then you can get away with lots of clicks for cheap, but not much if there is value in the niche you want to be in.

Well what do you know? I spent $9 and got a $30 lead. I was spending about 28 cents/click too. I'll take it.

Agreed 6 cents will not get you many clicks on there, if any. Try bidding hi and then lowering your bid.
