    Hey everybody :)

I started a new site and I would like to know if I had:

1- four PR9 links (2 from social bookmarking and 2 from forums signatures)
2- twelve PR8 links (mix of social bookmarking and web directories)
3- twenty two PR7 links (mix of social bookmarking and web directories)
4- around sixty PR6+PR5+PR4+PR3+PR2+PR1+PR0 (almost from web directories)

Will this jump me from 0 visitors to 200 visitors a week?
Will this increase my PageRank from 0 to 3 for example???

What are your opinions from your experiences? ;)

My site is brand new and I hadn't promoted it yet..

Text links from link directories, etc are not a good way to get visitors, and don't worry about the PR.

    Promote your site using:
    Pay per click
    SEO
    Article Marketing
    Press Releases
    Email marketing
    etc.

    :)

Per niche the amount of links necessary to get a certain number of visitors varies. Just get relevant links and create good content. What more can you do?

having a forum on your site or content updated regularly that is valuable to your visitors will help you keep the original visitors coming back.

I don't think the links you described could hurt, but it sounds like you're looking for a quick fix...I would develop a more long term game plan that includes link building, article submissions, on page seo and PPC. But these initial links might be a good way to hit the ground running...
