Will I have faster Internet connection if change my router from USB 1.0 to USB 2.0?

    So, yes, you should see a difference if you use USB 2 from now on, though you'd better use an Ethernet PCI card anyway.

    Actually it's true that 2.0 USB ports are faster. USB 2.0 averages a data rate of 480 Mbps while USB 1.0 only averages at about 12 Mbps. USB 2.0 are considered to be hi-speed mode while 1.0 are known as full speed USB modes.

    I also agree with others that you'd rather use Ethernet. Truth is USB drivers can also slow down the overall performance of older pc's. A device driver is an additional installation step and source of potential problems for USB's that you need not worry about with Ethernet. ;)

    good points...and aren't USB 'pipelines' shared, meaning if you have 9 devices plugged in it might be loads slower than just 3 say :confused:
