Work on getting backlinks, add a google sitemap, and create lots of fresh content - then wait a year.

It's actually a nicely done site. Unless you have the time to learn and take it step by step on your own, I highly recommend hiring someone to get the initial SEO done professionally.
Looks like you spent some time and a little money to get the site right.
Don't short cut the SEO or all of your money will be in vein.

and no, you probably won't get any page rank by the next update, unless you get some accelerated marketing and SEO going , like NOW!

Right now, you don;t have anything going at all. Looks like 8 directories, and 7 back links.
You need the "5.0" version of SEO to even make it to a possible PR 1 in the next 2 months, but don;t go too fast, that's not good either.

    I am taking notes here...
What is the "possible PR 1?"
I take it SEO is a software program, one that you would recommend?

No. Although you can use some software as tools to help.

SEO is the process of optimizing your site, according to search engine operations and algorithms, to get the maximum exposure in the searched results, when people are searching for your product or service.
It also includes the online marketing and advertising of your site through various online services and platforms to further that exposure.

It is a process just as tedious, and detailed as starting an off line business, with the exception that is is largely based on proper coding, and placement.

PR. or Page rank, is Googles way of determining the importance and placement of your link, based on these parameters . I was merely stating that with some accelerated attention, you may be able to pull something off by the next update, but you have a long way to go.

If this is the first time that you are entering into this, and your knowledge is non existent.
I highly recommend a professional, if you do not have the luxury of learning to get you site on it's way.
It is time consuming, and the learning curve is steep. You will never know all of it, as it changes frequently, but the basics, can be done in a relatively short amount of time, to get you on your way.

To get PR on your site start getting links, the more you get and the better the quality of those links the higher you PR will be.

If you have a low budget I suggest that you spend some time here at the forum and read all that you can read. The forum is filled with valuable and free information on how to do SEO on your site. I believe that you can even find some simple step by step guides that you can follow.

SEO is actually quite simple but it takes time. So you need to be patient.

That's what I have been suggesting. If you need it done now, and right, you need to get a pro.
You are far behind the 8-ball. Your site, although very nice, has no SEO done at all.

What you need to start doing is building backlinks to your site:

    1. Submit your site to directories.

    2. Create a Squidoo lens about it.

    3. Answer Yahoo answers, and link back to your site as a reference.

    4. Digg, Stumbleupon, etc your site.

    5. Do a Google alert for key words related to your site. When you get those alerts, post to those blogs with a link back to your site. (Related Keywords, content)

    6. Do a Google search for the top keywords and contact the website owners that show up in the first 10 spots for each keyword and request a link exchange.

    7. Submit articles to ezines.

    8. Add content to a personal blog.

There are more, but that is more than enough to get you started correctly.
