I can't imagine Paypal being as sensitive to IP address changes as you seem to think -- it would make Paypal unusable from (say) internet cafés, or even for most dial-up users.
if even some one use Dial up in here or have 2 computers with 2 different connection for sure have the same case..????
I access the web from different locations and thus had IP address changed and have never gotten limited because of it. You would most likely need to have a drastic IP change to get limited, probably one which may reflect the change of countries within a few minutes or hours where it is impossible under current technologies to travel.
i dont think so you will get limited . as paypal will limited the account only if they see any suspious activity. So not a problem . I usually open my Paypal account from 3 IPs in a day didnt got any problem yet. and i dont even know which ip was my paypal acc was created. as i have shifted to new place. .
wat do u mean all of a sudden to a different country? you cannot hav ur ip changed to something else slowly lol so ur ip will be changed suddenly if u go to a different country on a visit or something.... paypal is not that strict on ip address so there'll be no problem doing it
I believe what paulnet was referring to with the sudden change of IP addresses to different country is like this example. If you say access Paypal using an Indian IP address and then one hour later, you access the same account using a US IP address. That is the sudden change and would raise a red flag. I know that air travel makes travelling across the globe in a matter of hours but no one can travel between countries within the span of an hour. Since you probably need to brave traffic in your own country, do the check-in at the airport and customs and they did say you need to be at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. Then the flight would probably take you 8 to 10 hours (estimate) or more then clearing customs when you land and driving to your hotel room before plugging in your computer. All in all, it should take at least 12 to 15 hours or more. Of course, in the future if we have the teleport system like what we see in the sci-fi movies, we may be able to travel in the span of a few minutes but we have not reached that level of advance technology as yet. There is nothing wrong in visiting any country but the switch between IP address should be done within a reasonable timeframe. Whenever I travel, I would drop Paypal a short note to tell them which country I would be visiting and for how long and so far that works out for me as they told me they will note that into their account.
All of sudden means if some other person/hacker accesses your a/c without your permission, so with the trace of IP addresses, paypal can easily spot the location of his ip address. So its for your safety or fraud monitoring, paypal devised this IP tracking. So atleast you can safely enjoy it!! Thanks <Eddy> for clarifying!!
I never faced any problem in accessing paypal from different IP's.Ya once it got limited but i provided the document s and got restored.
no but be carful as if paypal suspected in any thing he will ask you for your documents so keep it handy
