Hello, I am currently starting a new online business forum using the free Community Server application. I understand this is not by any means the most robust forum application out there (not even close). I would like to stay with this application for a while until I can afford to upgrade to vb... Once I get the money to upgrade, will it be possible to migrate my forum to vb or will I have to start from scratch? If it is possible, can you please give me pointers on what to do now to make it easier for me later? What will I have to do? Thank you in advance for your responses. Guillermo
Why don't you try using phpbb? It is free and I did my migration with it to Vbulletin and it went great.. You can also ask this in the vbulletin forum (before buying questions).
The main problem right now is that I don't have much time to put a new forum together... Another BIG problem is that my site is hosted at GoDaddy and they don't give you direct access to your files, do you have any experience with phpbb hosted on godaddy?
I belive its possible with implex(sp), but im not 100% sure, ask in there pre questions on there site
