    hp dv series is better than inspiron but for rest dell is better.

    Dell laptops can be configured before buying, no wonder most of the people go for dell. HP laptops cant be configured.

    HP/Compact is about the same as dell, just look which one you like! but in my opinion, Compact uses cheap plastic that break easily..

    Dell is specially designed for laptop. Dell is always best, i have been using since 2007. Still it works very efficiently.

    I have both two .
    I getting better performance from HP than DELL.
    But HP has a little draw back,that is its' battery back up is too short than dell.

    Dell is better, I bought HP pavillion and in just 2 weeks the LCD broke down Dell is always better than HP
