Will a wordpress blog that links to a blogger blog(and vice versa) result in a higher PR, and more traffic because of the linking? Or does one have to have a high PR to begin with to really make a difference?
It will depends on what is the PR of the site giving out the links and how many outgoing links are there in the site giving out the links.
The type of blog or site really has nothing to do with it. Like any other website it all comes down to the quality and originality of the content and links pointing to it among many other things. I have found that a self-hosted blog on its own domain with good original content gets a better or faster PR that a blog on a sub-domain hosted on a free blogging site. But this may be because I spend more time and effort on the my self-hosted blogs than I ever did on my blogger blog?
yes i agree..it doesn't matter whether its blogger or WP...rich targetted content, with good navigation link, strong backlinks and regularly updating them will skyrocket SERP and traffic...just aim for easy niches first and once u got the drift, try harder niche ...and yes, focus..having 1000 blogs without focus for me is like having 1000 bubles on sea water ...focus on by one, leave after one is finished...play smart with G and Yahoo rules and give time for the blogs to mature... the sky is the only limit..
There are no "tricks" to higher PR and traffic. Blogging platforms, or how you link them, does not matter.
