I have an old blog that i don't use anymore. The blog isn't public anymore and only I can view the blog and posts. I have transferred some of articles from this old blog to my new blog - www.the-wise-penguin.blogspot.com Now, I understand GPanda penalizes copied content and such, but is my content really copied.. Cuz technically the old articles have been deleted and the articles on my new blog are the only ones on the net... Also, will GPanda penalize me if I publish my articles on websites such as ezinearticles? Thanks. WisePenguin,
It depends how long your content has been offline and whether or not Google has deleted the content from its archives. You can always search phrases in your content directly with quotations and if yours is unique, Google should ONLY return your page. If not, you'll at least want to rewrite it.
Chances of penalize is more because you are taking content from other source. It also depend on how Google take your content.
If your old blog is not accessible to search engines and to the users, there is no harm in publishing this content on your website. But if by any chances Google discovers the content, you will be in a big mess... that may lead your blog to the penalty.
I think it depends if google can still pull out your first blog info. Using your old articles for another blog can be a little bit risky.
I think mate you must get new content and leave the idea of duplicate content to escape from google panda
google is remarkably unforgiving in pretty much everything they do. Use a thesaurus and rephrase what your saying. you **might** get away with it... but then again you **might** get a big fat panda sitting on your face. I'd go the better safe than sorry method
