welcome to every internet forum but I think Google will just develop their own browser instead of buying firefox
Google does not own FF. FF & google has partnership to embed google search box as a plug in. FF earn from google adsense for search.
Google doesn't own FF, nor do they plan on to in the future as far as I know. They just distribute toolbars into it and such just like they do with IE depending on which PC company you go with.
Marketing and reputation. Nearly everyone on here thinks FF is the webmaster's browser of choice. That would be a nice extra string to the Google bow. A loss leader if you like - they won't gain financially but they'll get extra customers in the door for their other products.
If anything they should make there own closed source browser. Buying firefox is a waste of time and money. Pierce

Yes - Google borrowed that chap for a few days to do some work for them! The Mozilla Corporation is still seperate from Google. That's a definite.
Google's customers are searchers. The default browser essentially makes all FF users Google customers.
Yeh and glad that you would like to be with us. Sure They will buy it for their empire purpose. Why not if there is a way to make profit , google will buy it!
