will google take me back?

my site got dropped during the last jagger update. I'm thinking it was because of duplicate content. If that is the case, can I re-write the text on my pages, and get re-indexed?

From what I've read, Google rarely de-indexes a site completely. The penalties for things like cloaking, scraping, and hidden text/links can last a very long time, though.

i didn't do any cloaking, scraping, ect. I did copy some text from other sites (is that scraping?) and I had a link to my links page that is a clear gif image. here is the site www.ezdrivingdirections.com

ok, my site comes up under site:www.ezdrivingdirections.com it looks like I might be a victim of the duplicate content filter. I will re-write the content, and we'll see.
