    Hello there,
Google, the king of the net right now with almost 90% of the search done through Google and almost 90% of the sites have ad sense in them, many have switched the email service to g mail and having the top video site you tube, etc., etc. what do you think will be the future of goggle. can it sustain this grip or will lose eventually in the future?

Strong for another 15 years at least. A little competition will be good for consumers so sit back and watch what services and user friendly options are provided.

Google has a goog grip online and will reign for some time. Eventually though like everything else, something will come along and redefine online search.

90%? Where from did you obtain the data? Google dominates 60% of search engine market. Then Yahoo 20%. And third position - Live (formerly) 10%.

The only thing i could foresee happening is facebook getting a search engine programmed and deployed on their website. People could search the web right from their profiles! There really is no need for "just" a search engine website anymore.

It will depend on technology. If another search engine can index pictures, movies, flash, music and other multimedia files properly then they will have an advantage over google.

but for now they would be safe for the next 2-3 years at least.

90% for high school and university students, but globally, Google owned for about 75%. Yahoo search engine traffic is decreasing. In 2007, maybe you are right but in the recent months, Yahoo only got around 12%.

About this topic, I think Google will always dominate the internet world as long as they keep work hard. If one day there is a new competitor with strong funding and better services than Google, that will be the new era of the internet.

If Google will show directly their Services and what they got, same with Yahoo, I'm pretty sure Google will rank over 1. This time, they are ranked as no.4 but its such a no deal for them, because the site they bought (YouTube), runs the rank of 2.

It will be interesting to see the search engines change over the next decade. Looking back in some SEO books printed in 2002, google isn't even mentioned in detail, mainly Yahoo, Ask etc.

This is a very interesting question. Google obviously dominates--but I hardly think of them as a "search" company nowadays. Their vision is much broader. They have google docs and spreadsheets and chat and stuff. Now they even have that free information number: 800 Goog 411 (much better than giving 75 cents to cingular every time I am lost in my car).

I don't know, remember that apple was bigger company than microsoft once, and yahoo was a bigger search than google once. These changes come faster than one thinks they will. In the non-information economy, companies (like General Motors, for example), dominated for like 60 years once they get on top. Now, it's more like 6 to 8 years. But google is very strong, and their vision is deep...
