May be its good idea if Google uses PR for their internal uses only. This PR thing drives lot of people nuts:)

So what if they are going to remove it anyway. It is just a waste of time for serious Internet marketers.

They wouldn't remove the whole PR, but the useless toolbar perhaps...

I think Google might be developing a new and more accurate way to evaluate a site. IMO. :)
I wish something like PR would not disappear.

I think they are trying new things people are so focused on pr instead of getting serps and traffic. For instance i have a PR0 Dating website and only been up over a month and i'm getting 1,425 uniques and growing every day. Some say pr0 sucks but i would reather have a pr 0 with 1400 then a pr 5 with 0.

I think google will drop the toolbar PR because it creAtes too much fuzz about link selling ....if google drops this algorithm it can control link selling to a large extent and thus google's motives will be fullfilled.

I won't miss the PR but it brings a positive impact that people would be more focus on their site content.

PR is useful to me because you choose a quality site by just looking at their page rank IMO.
