Will google punish me for redirecting my index?

    Lets say I set my index to redirect to my forums immediately.

    Will google punish me SEO wise for doing this ?

    Also...
    Will they be able to get the information such as commands that I set for bots if this page immediately redirects?

    If you do a 301 redirect - no.

    there should be no problem redirecting to /forum
