As Google Suggest rolls out of beta, some are arguing that this is a very clever move by Google as it will direct people away from long tail queries to the more lucrative short tail queries with Adwords. I'm not so sure, as it all depends on the user behaviour. Do people necessarily pick the very first thing they see, or will they drill a little more for something more specific. http://www.blogstorm.co.uk/google-set-to-make-millions-from-google-suggest/
I think this is an amazing idea.. I do think that it will affect traffic a lot and make keywords even more competitive than they already are. People do click the first things they see..
There is a big difference in the results obtained for search terms between tools like wordtracker (who use metta crawlers) and the new gogle tool + everything seems rounded off with the adword tool. Will be interesting to see the comments that crop up over the next few months, based on webmasters using the tool to target new keywords.
It would be interesting to see how this would affect the market, for the moment it is wait and watch for me...
I think will have a fairly large impact, except on the people who have to look at their keyboard to type.
Yep, I guess long tail keywords will take a large hit this time, which means that sites that rank well for the major keywords will take a lot of extra traffic... I'm happy so far!
its a really good innovation IMO> thats y google so rules the net.. it comes up wid creative new stuff
