Will Google like key words linked from my forum to my website?

    Hello,
I have a forum with a number of active members and posts. Would it be good for me to link key word phrases from forum posts to pages of my website. I want to boost the search engine position for those words on other pages of my site. Any thoughts?

Is your forum a different domain than your main site? It's definitely a good idea if that's the case.

Even if it's on the same domain it's still a good idea to link sub-domains to your main site using keyword rich anchors.

Just don't overdue it in either case.

I don't know if DP do it on purpose but it happens here, even on this thread. I see the first word "forum" on sebasago's post linked to http: //ads.digitalpoint.com/go.php?k=forum

If your forum is hosted on a different server/ip then its no harm in adding your website link on your forum.
