Will Google Kill Me For Using Reviewme.com?

I have used reviewme.com to pay bloggers to write reviews of my site. This has proved to be very effective for my SERPs. Within a very short time (2-4 weeks) I saw a significant boost (like 50 to 5 for many keywords).

 But now Google apparently is hunting down and slaying anyone who would dare to buy or sell a link. TLA is the new Osama Bin Laden according to Google.

Paying for reviews is not new. It's been around long before the Internet (i.e. product reviews, film critics, etc.).

Still, ultimately when you use reviewme you are paying for a link.

I don't use TLA, but like I said I have used ReviewMe. Are they coming for me next? Should I take down my websites and hide out in a cave in Pakistan.

The worst that google could do is remove any benefit from the links. No need to worry, keep developing and building links

I used reviewm_e-dotcom and pa_y-per-p0_s-t heavily for one of my sites, and it's now the only site in my empire with PR0 -- and I mean all pages are now PR0! -- despite having age and lots of other high quality links.

G is clearly penalizing these links heavily; heavy enough to negate other quality incoming links.

Great move by G. Search engine

Yeah, hiding in a cave is probably best now they are on to you. Remember to keep moving every few days or the snipers will find you and take you out :D

Oh, and take plenty of water and fresh fruit

There are always smarter people who comes up with ideas to break any system. No matter how good the system is. I am sure once things settle down little bit, words of new tricks like that will be in the air.

I have not used them but I believe Google's stand is that you are penalized for purchasing a link not a review. as long as the site states that you are paying to have your site reviewed, I do not see why they would penalize that site. This is how many paid directories have avoided this. They clearly state that you are paying for a review up your site. The link is free.

On my blog, I offer free reviews of your site if you write it. If I review it and write, you pay me for my time. I have never had a problem with this.

I think that buying a lot of links from reviewme.com has been good for increasing rankings, but I'm being cautious and making sure only a portion of my blog links are from PPP/reviewme incase google recognizes the pattern in the future

They might eventually mess with your PR if you sell links via ReviewMe.

I found Reviewme.com kind of expensive. Just for reviews I wasn't sure of paying that amount of money.

I was reading in the ppp forums today that many of the bloggers lost their pr in this update and maybe thats why you lost yours: because the sites linking to you lost theirs.

Reviewme doesn't have any financing right now at all so who would care if you use them or not their will be no articles being paid anyway so this is kind of a retarded question.

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about. I have received several reviews from PR5/PR6 sites for $30/$40 and saw an instand boost in my SERPs. I know it works, or at least has worked in the past.

My concern is that when someone "names names" and sells me out to Joseph McCarthy , oh excuse me, I mean Matt Cutts, that his Führer will shun me from the Internet forever.
