Google Instant, a tool that provides live streaming search result

What Fear me: I think, Instant display of search result can cause a big change is searching pattern of users.

Google is actually making people education how to make effective search. Even Matt Cutt have stated that there could be a big change of searching pattern.

I don’t see how instant search will end SEO, making your site first is all that matters.

    Thanks Brian

ya that's right but again SEO is alive because people of Google search users don't have any choice until they press enter any particular keyword. But now Google is providing them choice with pressing every dam keyphrase.

Don't you think this choice can navigate away even some % of your niche visitors.

I was thinking the same thing websys, Brain I see your point but I think the question is first for what keyword?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11239037 - demo of the system

A good example could be geographical searches, when I search for "Carpet fitters Swansea" Google will now give me national results when I type Carpet fitters, and offer national services so I have missed the opportunity for a visitor for my site.

Another question for you bright sparks - How will this effect AdWords?
AdWords is controlled by the quality score and CTR is an important component for this, how many impressions will this generate for people who wouldn't normally see my advert and who will not have any interest on clicking my advert?

I don't think Instant search will end SEO. However, this Instant will definitely drop visitors that rely on long keyword phrases. So, Instant search will significantly affect longtail keywords search.

No Need to worry about SEO because Google declared The basics of Google search are the same, including how results are ranked and how Google determines relevant results.

I've not seen that anywhere Sunny, do you have a link.

I see a big advantage to the big boys on this new feature and the end to long tailed keywords and therefore an end to some niche affiliate websites, maybe a large motivator for Google?

Guess so that might be the case later on. However i agree to the views people here have expressed that it really wont put an end to SEO as we know it as it doesn't change the basic way a google search works.

Thanks for raising such a question. I too think that providing such a huge amount of choice will cause a change in visitor's intention of staying on a page and clicking adwords ads.

I know i hate predictive text input. It's annoying as hell. I hope it fails miserably.
Every change Google makes has some impact on SEO. But i think this one will have a bigger impact on AdWords than on organic search results.

but dear, Google Instant is such an application that user will surely use. Everyone likes choices, i think so do you too. PR was also a choice but are not meant for users, but for webmasters.

At that time Google needs quality content and info based website, so they helped webmasters to build a worthy websites with proper info using SEO. But now as they have grown a lot i think they are completely focusing on users rather than caring fellow webmasters.

@Websys, do you really think that people will look into these random search option while searching a keyword.

Say: i like to search for shopping malls in paris. Do you think i will care for the search result of shopping or shopping mall
