I have a new website with about 300 quality pages. Google has so far indexed 88 pages. Will all the pages eventually be indexed? The website has been up for about a month and is DMOZ listed. However backlinks are not that many yet.
Make it sure that you have made sitemap with all your pages and have good backlinks contineously coming to your domain. Then ofcourse all pages shall get indexed.
If all your pages can be accessed by any external page, then there is a strong chance. Yes, sitemaps help, backlinks too.
yes they will, a sitemap is good and backlinks like the others say. look in google for "SOFTplus GSiteCrawl" its a sitemap software and its free it will make a big sitemap of all you pages I use it and I have done 1000+ pages and in 4 weeks have 800+ pages indexed in google I am running it again now as I have alot more pages and I need to update, just remember to update as much as possible
I agree with advice given above. Once I have just made a sitemap on site and give alternate navigation and number of indexed pages in google increase from 395 to 12,485. I may got such a boost because the site was having number of articles behind a manual search which search engines can't do. Any way....just use alternate navigation, sitemap, google sitemap and keep on building links.
I've just created 11000 static pages from an sql database and an alternative navigation. I'm just waiting for the pages to be indexed now.
Sure, you pages will be indexed if you have done it right way. See any search engine particularly google wants to index as many pages as there are over net. But they like it when page are quality pages...if spam is there they even deindex pages. I don't know your case, but my site (on which i have worked, it does not belong to me) is 10 year old. Wait for some more time hopefully your pages will be indexed. Good Luck
Forget site maps for a site that size... dmoz listed is a solid enough link imo to get it fully indexed if the site is properly spiderable (links lead eventually to all pages. I'd even say they have already grabbed the lot and are only showing x amount so far. Just keep developing the site content and it's link profile and conversion process. A solid link profile will include some links to internal pages and a variety of anchor text... from a variety of sites, preferably in your topic area.
Thanks You mean the site is too small and I can forget about sitemaps? I agree with you that they have probably already grabbed the lot and are only showing a portion. That what I was puzzled about. Will they eventually show all of it?
yes they will show it all. There is nothing wrong with using a site map, i have some on my older sites, but I don't think se's are really that slow that they need the help of a site map to index a site properly. either way, getting them to reveal they have indexed it is one thing... having them return it in the search results for your targeted phrase will take longer. so build the link profile, the deep links and so on naturally and gradually... as you continue to develop the user experience.
So, according to this thread (sorry, need my questions answered too)... You need a ton of backlinks, good organization of site links, and a sitemap. Am I correct?
Yes, but all you really need is 1 good backlink and all pages linked to from the homepage, and you'll get indexed.
Definitely sitemaps, especially now that goole has the sitemapts thing called Google Sitemaps, definitely use that, should get your stuff indexed in no time.
