I noticed the fluctuation in GA after this update in my most of the website in term of traffic as well as in rankings.

No, it won’t. Google has actually replaced its old (outdated) engine with new one (advanced), it’s not just an algorithm update. It’s complete over hauling; now they’ve a complete new system in place. Till now, Google was not doing good with long queries as does with short queries. Now with this new system in place Google can handle long queries as well, e.g. search for “jama masjid versus taj mahal”

And yes, currently it affects about 90% queries worldwide, as people generally search for long phrases instead of just short keywords, as they have now learned how to search, they generally type the exact query to find anything and get the exact results, and it may also have some impact on short queries but very minimal or if you’re using any suspicious activities to promote.

And as far as your last query is concerned, so if there is downfall in rankings but no drop in organic traffic, so you better check the list of all keywords, fetch a list of keywords from Analytics and Webmaster tool, which are/ were generating traffic to your website, you may find the answer to your query
