Will Google find directories by itself?

I'm wondering if you have an admin dir on your website. Will google find this if there are no links to it? Or does there have to be a link for everything google finds?

Well if you submit it via the google/addurl option or subit a sitemap then G can find it, otherwise no.

If there are no links to it nor from your site or from others Google would not find it, unless it crawls your stats data for example, but this problem is very easy to solve, just block robots from crawling it via your robots.txt

Wouldn't you be able to link these inner pages to your homepage and then Google will see these links?
I might be wrong though :p

It makes it easier if you create a site map and send it to google.

Sorry I should of mentioned in my first post. I don't want this dir to be listed. Yes I can block it via robots.txt but I don't want to do that if possible.

Thanks for the responses and I should be alright now.

With the robots.txt file this can allow you to block or allow access to crawl your site :)

it's just like how people find your house if you dont have house number infront of it. same as website if you have backlinks yes SEs will see and find your site. if not, dont think they would notice your site is existed.
