Will Google correct my mistake ???

Hi, I recently created a website but didn't have the hosting organized so I placed the site within a folder, on the server, of another website I also have and redirected the URL to that index page.

A week later I got my hosting sorted out, moved the sites content there and deleted the folder with contents from the old location (why I didn't wait is down to a lack of experience).

During this time Google had cached the old pages but hasn't got around to the new ones yet (it has been a week now).

I've set up a webmasters account and submitted an XML sitemap for the new pages but it's been a week now and the new pages have not been indexed yet.

Will Google delete the old pages eventually and index the new pages or could it even see the content as duplicate. Will this cause problems with my new pages being indexed.

Am I better to leave be for now or should I take some action to rectify.

    Thanks in advance.
