Will Google consider favicon.ico

    Will Google and other search engines considering favicon.ico. Because I'm having doubt on it.

    what u want to do with favicon.ico it is just sign of your website and if we assume that google will consider it but it is just worthless in seo point of view...so just leave it....and go ahead for further issue of your site...

    I'm getting plenty of 404 errors at mysitename/favicon.ico Even i'm setting by <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon url">. So what to do

    Well, i dont think google consider it but make sure you added it properly and at the correct place.

    So do you mean someone access mysitename/favicon.ico.

    May I know where did you keep the favicon.ico. Please keep it in the root folder of your site.

    Why would Google consider favicon? It's just a visual element that might make your site look better in a web browser.

    @javs8189 As stated above I'm specify the favicon image location. Then y I should get that kind of error
