I got an interesting news about new SEO Toolbar of SEOBOOK which was released before couple of weeks which may cause alot income loss to Google from its adwords. http://sphinn.com/story/100076 Do you think Google can ban any browser based tool?
Hello... What can i say.... Cash cow could be wiped out! If the Tool shows the actual sites link under the sponsored results and you click it rather then clicking the "anchor text" then google wouldnt make money from those PAID Clicks from anyone whom is using the toolbar which would cost them millions! laterz malcolm
Already has .... The toolbar download after downloading the toolbar its as good as SEOquake if not better and is more in depth but doubt it will will kill adwords though it will cost them a few bucks from webmasters but not general audience laterz malcolm
SEOBook, didn't look at this issue... or they might have intentionally made this option to provide direct link to the advertisers landing page. Google may suggest firefox not to provide further support to this toolbar. Don't you think? Here's the direct link to the story:
This wont kill adwords (webmasters account for 1% of internet users at best) as most of us (webmasters) never clicked the adwords of others (intentionally anyways) which would mean they loss a few bucks (from webmasters) but not much being its not the general public whom will be downloading the toolbar. On the other hand... If one where to build another toolbar for "general audience" that gains popularity then that could in fact hurt them if it had the ability to do the same (make links click-able without them getting paid for the click) or (completely blank out the adwords on the right side) then that might kill there cash flow but this i doubt would . What i did notice is that its not active on yahoos (adwords) or others just googles.. hmmmm payback for the paid links scandel ... lmao PS.... Do you think Firefox really cares about google (or would remove a product) after they came out with CHROME (Firefoxs competition) ? Yea i didnt think so ... thx malcolm
Yeah malcom, i agree on this and you are very thoughtful!!! But the thing is its totally unethical way and people has always mindset ready "Free is the Best" But when you look after a long time, webmasters will start PPC campaigns rapidly and may educate common people to use this tool and where to click than Google has no more ways to fight againsts this issue. This is just the begining. SEOBOOK developers might have completely removed the part of the landing page or can set the direct link on the anchor but they didn't means it might have an intentional step to introduced direct link option. Why they didn't come up with the same for Organic Search....??? This says a lot...
