Hi, I develop content for a website (It is based on a partnership) and very recently we have decided to monetize our website. We have decided that we will put up two ad blocks (One from my Adsense id, another from his). But, I have heard that Google will ban us if we use ad blocks from multiple ids. Is it true? Please help me out.
Can you please explain your thoughts? I mean why and how etc? It is good to give opinion but when you say something at least provide some reference or be detailed.
Yes, you got it. But, both of these are not my accounts. One will be of the person providing SEO services and the other one is of mine. Hope you can address your thoughts now.
Why the heck do you say this? Google explicitly allows ads from more than one Adsense account on a page, as long as the maximum number of allowed ads is not exceeded. Read here: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=115988
Yes. The problem here is you're using ads from multiple publishers. Google will ban you. Do NOT do that.
Read the post above you, taken directly from Google's TOS on AdSense it's perfectly acceptable to run more than one account of AdSense on a site. Look at DP Forums, you can enter your own AdSense code here and have it pop up on the site if you're lucky. I'm pretty sure DP wouldn't be breaking Google's TOS...
Hi to all, Well, it seems to be pretty confusing responses. Though, I thank all who responded, Nonny and Wierdo are poles apart with their views. So, whom of the two has judged things correctly? While, Nonny has shown the link and Google policy with this, Wierdo seems to have talking from his previous experience.
@Ascendancy, Thanks for your response also. Google not banning me seem to be the answer now. You have made a good point. I though of it previously as well, but was not sure how revenue sharing from DP will work because, I never tried this before.
I could swear that I read the AdSense terms before and they specifically prohibited it. Maybe they changed it then.
It is absolutely ok. It seems that Google has changed their rules now. No need to be sorry. Wish you a very very Happy New Year.
Thxs for that tip, it used to be that they only allowed one id per page, but looking at the T&C's (Which I repeatedly advise people to do on this forum) it seems okay. Just show even the best of us should always check the T&C's if in doubt! I always stand to be corrected - it keeps my sense of reality! Dickie Boy
Thanks a lot for for your input to this thread. It feels nice to see that this thread helped you in some way.
Just to add to this, Nonny is correct. I am not speaking from personal experience but from having viewed correspondence between another party and Google Adsense who wished to do this. At the time, it was thought that clarification was in order and the party contacted Google asking this very question and was given approval. It appears now that Google has clarified the manner by actually placing this case in their TOS/Policies.
Thanks for your input to this thread. Another supporter for Nonny, as it seems. I checked out the link as well and why should Google lie about something in their terms of services? I do not see a reason actually.
Thanks a lot.. this is really a useful information.. Wow you must be a adsense expert @bumba1988 Thanks for this useful thread
If taking a couple of minutes to search the official help docs makes me an expert, I guess I am. Really, most peoples' questions here could be answered definitively by just taking the time to take a look at the information provided by Google - much better than getting the bunch of random guesses threads like this usually generate.
