I have a site www.mumbaiproperties.info....In order to increase the traffic I have created a new section which gives the information of Mumbai (http://www.mumbaiproperties.info/about-mumbai/about-mumbai.php)..
I have taken the content from Wikipedia..Please have a look at the site let me know and will Google ban me for this or will my ranking for other keywords related to mumbai properties be affected??

If the articles are same as it is in Wiki, you'll surely penalized for having duplicate content.

google indexes sites for unique content if your trying to do seo with these articles i would take them down because they will do nothing but hurt your chances of a higher rank.

If you are adding content from another website then make sure to point back to the original website url from where you copied that article.

This way you wont receive penalties. ;)

There are several business companies which get their websites penalized due to duplicate content. Make sure you are on the safer side of the Google fence.

You won't get a penalty as such, it's just that content will never rank (will get dumped in the supplemental index) so it's hardly worth having? If I was you I'd spend a few dollars at somewhere like TextBroker and have a couple of original articles done.

Why do you need to copy in the first place? Paraphrase the information and cite the source. That way you don't have to worry about anything.

I have tested a lot with dublicated content and its not a big problem with google as long as you whole site is not a dublication of another site.
