Will G catch up or do it's own thing?

    Hi

For my main keywords I am page 1 on Yahoo and MSN, yet am page 9 on G for the same keywords, will G catch up or does it just do it's own thing?

Normally I have always found it to be the other way around, well from my own personal experience.

    Thanks

Yahoo, MSN recognize nofollow links and gives you credit for it. Maybe most of your links are nofollow. Try to build dofollow link using hyperlinked keyword to your link. You will see some increase in G too.

    Hi

I have been using the vilesilencer and vmoptions list and also directorycritic and also many others and I believe those lists are majority dofollow? I have also done some SB and articles, so I don't believe the nofollow is the problem.

    Any other ideas?

I think you have it backwards personally. I don't think Google has to "catch up" at all. They are lightyears ahead of the other engines as far as returning relevant, good search results. I believe it is Yahoo! and MSN who needs to "catch up". It is Google that services over 70+% of the searches on the web, and it is for a good reason... they turn the best results.

And yes, Google will continue to "do their own thing" just like every other engine. They all have their own unique algorithm for ranking URLs.

Of course, no one here can really help you because without your URL, they would simply be stabbing in the dark. Who knows? It could be nofollow links... it could be pages linking to you are not relevant... it could be that you've done something to trigger a -90 penalty... it could be one of an infinite number of things.

All 3 search engines are exactly the same. If you rank #1 for any you should rank #1 for all.

Well it's my lunch time... I'm thinking Arby's but I understand McDonalds serves the EXACT same menu. Go figure.

The url is "caravans-4-hire.co.uk" and the main keywords are "caravans for hire", now page 8.

I did word it wrong, I know that Google are the leader but what I was asking is just because I rank page 1 in Yahoo and MSN, why isn't it the same in G, I understand about the nofollow backlinks in Yahoo and MSN, but I believe as I mentioned about that the majority of the backlinks I've gained are dofollow.

    Thanks

    Dee
