    as outlined from everyone, it really cant hurt you, it will get your more traffic, people will be interested in what you have in your signature if you provide valuable posts, so write some good stuff!

    The backlinks are helpful, certainly when you're starting out. However the link is only as strong as the page it is coming from, so from that point of view, they are helpful but not as helpful as a link from a page with a good page rank (PR)

    Can anyone confirm if they see their link from digital point in the backlinks?

    Many of you have hundreds of posts each with your signature on them.

    Do you see these in your backlinks? Does anyone know of any good tools to view from where a backlink is coming?

    Definitely..! I'm speaking based on experience.. My site is now ranks third in the search results for a particular keyword and when I checked my backlinks, majority came from my forum posts..

    Forum-based signature links are just as helpful as any other kind of backlink. If you are concerned with boosting your traffic, then you may want to consider posting on forums that are related to your niche. However, a backlink is a backlink, so if you are posting, then use your signature where you can!
