will expired domains help me getting hits from google if i put content?

if i see a expired domain domain with pagerank 3

the website was about health

and i buy this domain becuase its pagerank 3 and make a software download site of it

will google rank my download urls faster and better at the top becuase its p3?

Yup, they say that it drops quickly if you change the content.

Not neccessarily. Also, rankings have nothing to do with the PR in my opinion.
Make sure that the domain has some valid backlinks or else it will loose the PR on the next update. If the domain is banned then your site will face probs in ranking.

Pagerank dropped very easy after it's expired.
I think people let their domain names with high pagerank expired, or sell them only because they are no longer used or have little or no value anymore.
These domain names may got banned, in a blacklist, bad history, will lost backlinks soon ...
But if you got lucky bought a good domain name you can still use it.

 

Eventually the PR would just drop. This is because the new content would be completely unrelated to the old content.

 

just a questsion here, it is not suppossed that expired domains give back some traffic (becuase they already have been indexed)?

 

I bought a expired domain for $450 not knowing .

it has never been indexed on google no sucess, I have sites that were registered just one day and got indexed in two days. stay away from them
