Will Encrypted pages still be Search Engine Optimzed?

I was building a review website today, and was finishing up on the SEO, using web CEO. I wanted to protect all my hard work, so I ran all my html through an encrpt tool.

When I looked at the optimization again with Web CEO, it was like it was not optimized at all.

So my question is..."Will encrypted pages still be search engine optimized in the eyes of Google?"

I also have encrypted links on a footer of a template I made in the past, will my links still count as backlinks?

    Good question is'nt it?

If this is the case, is there any way to protect the html from code viewers?

How are you encrypting html? Via javascript? If so, no dice. SEs wont even try and get it. Encrypting HTML is not a good idea for SEO.

SEO never follows the HTTPs protocol.
