Will editing the .htaccess file in cpanel effect all my wordpress domains and subdomains?

    I added the following to my cpanel .htaccess file on my hosting account:

    <FilesMatch "\.pdf$">header set x-robots-tag: noindex
    </FilesMatch>

    This was to stop Google from crawling and indexing my PDFs, will this work accross all my addon domains and subdomains (which are wordpress) on my hosting account or do I need to take extra measure?

    Thanks.

    You would probably need to do that in every root folder for X site.

    You're not serious? How do I even do that, using Filezilla??
    Thanks.

    Its not exactly complicated.
    And yes, i use filezilla.

    If you find that to be a tenuous situation then you have gone about things wrong in the first place.

    In Cpanel - File Manager, I can choose any of the addons and sub domains - however should I be editing the .htaccess in the Document Root or Web Root if anyone knows.
