Suppose i'm using a website called "karthimx.in" for one year, for some reason I'm planning to move all the contents to "karthimx.com" for the second year.
So now I'm having a new domain with the old contents, Will this affect our ranking in goolge?

Yes, defiantly. However it should even out after time. Make sure you do a 301 redirect to your .com from your .in though. This will help google reindex your site quickly.

Yes, All your page rank will be lost.

However, You can still auto redirect to your new site using .htaccess file.
    Redirect 301 / http://www.arthimx.com/

If u make it new domain as first ones sub domain.. point to same site will not be problem other wise chance of duplication and also for the second domain has to do SEO separately..Google consider each domain separatly

If your site is a strong one, the changeover should be seamless and take a few days with all original rankings maintained. If you site is weak, then it could be months before Google processes the 301 correctly and rankings will bounce around. Probably best to strengthen your site before the move (more inbounds, strong internal navigation, authority etc.)
