I havee recently started a new blog and i am comfused weather to switch to dofollow or not in comment link. I beleive this will make people comment and make them visit my blog regulary so that they can comment for a backlink. But i read in internet that this will transfer linkjuice and PR of page will also get effected or goes down is it true ?
Yes you give some Pr to each link. Some people think that the traffic you get might be worth more than the page rank. You could get site listed on places that list do follow sites so you can get good traffic from that. It might be easy way to get traffic with out a high page rank. Not sure how good the traffic converts so you might want to make another site and try that one first.
thanks for the info guyz, but i got new confusion now, home page i.e mysite.com will have PR 3 but the post of my site i.e mysite.com/some-post will have another pr so how it effect the pr of home page ?
yes, it will affect the page PR where the comment links are comming but traffic will increase. And from my point of view traffic is more important the PR.
yes of course..............dofollow links always helpful to crawl index and ranked well whether it comes from a blog comment, blog post or somewhere else......................
Everyone has their own opinion about the dofollow and nofollow situation. One of my friend's sites Page rank goes down from PR4 to PR3 and all I can think of is that he uninstalled the dofollow plugin.
Yes, exactly ... but you can do one thing that you can first await the comment posted and after your approval you can make them viewed on your blog . . . wt say ?
you can test for a month for nofollow and another month for dofollow. After all, you can always switch to dofollow to get more comments, or return to nofollow when you get too many spams.
If you choose dofollow you will give your page rank and get traffic. But, for sure, you will have a lot more spam comments. But if you choose nofollow you will have higher PR and less comments.
You can try testing for do follow for a month but some do follow blogs have loads of spam so it necessary for you to using anti spam software for your site or perhaps try comment moderation so atleast you can avoid spams in your blog in that way their is bigger chance for your site to be link by others in do follow site
I can only image the spam that will come with a dofollow, I have a nofollow blog and get a fair amount of spam comments.
according to some site, it do effect PR and there is risk of getting site blacking listed if link of out going site is blacklisted site.
