Will digit numbers in Url affect SEO?

as above, there are some digit numbers in my url.. and I'm not sure will these numbers affect my SEO result.

for eg,
an article named “This is a SEO Article”
Home>> More about SEO!>> The SEO Project>> This is a SEO Article

I’m getting an URL with “http:// directory. example. com/more-about-seo/25-the-seo-project/46-this-is a-seo-article”

will the number "25" and "46" affect the search engine result?

what do u mean by affect ? anyway I normally remove them from my blog posts urls

 

On a large scale - yes. Anything that dilutes your keywords in the url will have a negative effect. The example you give isn't on a large scale, so I wouldn't worry about it.

If it was 'more-about-seo/000112578-the-seo-project/091466391-this-is a-seo-article', then maybe I would look at changing it.

 

I don't think it affects more. You may see the results on the first page itself with many site including numbers in its url...

you can overanalyse this until the cows come home. The search engine extracts keywords from the URL. if it is padded with digits, it will still be able to extract the keywords from the URL. Do a google search and look at how google extracts the keywords from the URL.

The most important URL is the domain name. Don't worry so much about the folder / page names, as long as they have some keyword weight in there it won't matter so much.

 

NO i dont think it will affect. but if you have large number of url set like this then it will affect.

I doubt it'll make much difference- the keywords are in the URL. However you can turn on permalinks (if this is wordpress) and call the URL whatever you like.

 

No it will not effect in SEO. And URL is good, care only Offpage and on page optimization.

 

I don't think so, there are a lot URL which have number, they are in high ranking, number does not affect in ranking

 

but i think so you must remove them from url because no one search for digit

 

I think it doesn't affect much, and neither do common words like: I, a, an, the, one, so etc.

 

why do SE affect this digits? I think set ur anchor text in url.(url title) this wil fetch ur traffic to ur site frm SE index.

SE indexing not much depend on url its rather depend on content(des, title, anchor text, keywords)

 

Digits in the URL may affect the website traffic because URL must be search engine friendly.
