Cuil results sucks. Only indexing pages won't help, they have to provide relevant results to end-users. People hear or read about cuil & go to their website, otherwise I don't think people will even consider going to cuil & try wha-wha-this-new-search-engine. But I definitely wish someone could come up with something better than Google. Some idiots have already replaced the search term with google. They don't say "search it", they say "google it". Seems like they're mentally incompetent to think beyond Google.

 

people stick to what they know.

like those people that use micrsosoft office. sure there are other free/cheaper packages out there to use but it will be a long time before people switch over to the point where microsoft is dead.

also google is not just about search.

just look at google labs to see some of the stuff they are into.

cuil will have adsense on it in a year.

oh yeah. just did a search for "web design in spain" and the first listing is a real estate agent, another listing for motor cycle luggage, another for web acesibility.

cuil have a long way to go my friends!

i am not so sure cuil will make the difference, so far, their search results look like, beta stage high school student search engine..

 

Cuil has to make indepth research and has to become like google in terms of quality

First impression is the last impression is just opposite in cuil's case..
I didn't like its display style..
Even in this SE they hvn't even set a proper style of display ...
Mean to search ur Keyword Position whether u'll go vertically or Horizontally ...

the design as such is horrible, since when is black a trusting color? it's a horrible choice and looks more like a warez crack search page.

 

I thought Google and Cuil are two different search engines?
I don't see cuil taking over google any time soon, since google has spoiled it following with PR and Google Adsense.

 

Netridge, Google and Cuil are two different search engines. Cuil was founded by a husband and wife team, Tom Costello and Anna Patterson. Patterson is a former Google employee. It appears that since its launch in July, Cuil has definitely "cooled" according to Market Share as in a "few short weeks", usage has dropped to near zero in search share. Users have reported that results were unrelated, thus the decline in use.

 

Cuil is cool, but the title of this post is terrible. We cannot compare google with anything for now.

 

I have tested it a few times and its rubbish.

I searched for my own site which has a good rank on Google and it doesn't even appear on it.
