I think it will survive and redefine web. Google coming into this war is really nice. I myself am web developer and don't like testing applications on many browsers, but I think this browser will spread so fast. It seems faster than FF-3. Almost same in speed as IE. IE is not secure at all, FF is a lot secure browser. But Chrome is fast + secure. As google has been promoting Mozilla browser at many of it's sites such as youtube, orkut etc, it will do the same with Chrome, and I think Chrome will spread like wild fire once it gets a bit more options. Few cents from an old web-developer. regards
I have used Chrome, and it is a nice enough browser, which is plenty fast enough for most uses. That being said, the end user license agreement is too restrictive and takes too many liberties with users rights. Add in that Internet Explorer is installed by default with every Windows installation and I think Google will have a hard time keeping up. They'll get a bit, but no too much.
I dont so, coz chrome doesnt live up to its name when i installed it.. it was pretty quick uninstallation for me.. i then switched back to firefox 3
Until and unless chrome facilitate addons on it, there is no chance to outdate the other browsers. Can any one guess what will happen if Google comes with an operating system of his own having Chrome as it's default browser?????
Chrome is well designed but coming to speed its worst , i feel opera is better than these Chrome, firfox and IE.
Now that it is out of beta, with more feature chrome is making progress but it is competing in a market that require a lot patience. Slow start but impressive.
Google Chrome is growing fast and certainly has a fighting chance. There creating versions for Linux and Mac, and are trying to get it pre-installed on computers like IE does.
