Will changing from .asp to .aspx hurt my SEO??

    I have a well established web site that ranks very well in google.

    For programming purposes I'm looking at changing from a .asp to a .aspx on the home page of my site.

    Will this hurt my page ranking?

    it will change URL of your website, may be for some time your site will drop rankings, but later I think it'll come back again.

    forward asp to aspx if you can. I know its kinda hard to do on windows servers
